"God has blessed me beyond anything I deserve and in more ways than I can count. It is my desire to share my knowledge, skills, and passion for life to those who have a burning desire to make music with their fingers."

Michael LaneyMike has been playing guitar since age 15. The day his "Uncle Kenny" showed him a C chord, he was hooked and has been ever since. In high school, he played rhythm guitar with "Dixie", a local group of Ohatchee High School boys that actually fronted some guy named Hank Williams Jr and his Bama Band. While at Jacksonville State University, he played locally in "Tumblin' Dice" as lead guitarist. After college, thinking his music days must take a back seat to his career in Education, he focused on teaching and coaching football while picking up guitar students along the way; however, that itch to be on stage just wouldn't go away and he joined a local Contemporary Christian Praise group "N-1 Accord". Later his "Uncle Kenny" called him back into service as lead guitar and mandolin player for "Brimstone". In 2008, Mike moved to Macon, GA, the birthplace of Southern Rock, to work as a school counselor. There, he played lead guitar for "The Counterparts" and "State Road 42" in and around Atlanta and Middle Georgia. Now, as a retired High School Counselor, Mike has moved back to Northeast Alabama and will teach his skills to all who wish to learn.
