What makes us different?
When I decided to take the challenge of opening a guitar school, I wanted to do so in a way that not only was different than anyway I had ever taught, but focused differently than anyway I had ever seen anyone else teach guitar. So, I asked myself, If I were new to the Instrument, how would I want to be taught? With that in mind, I established "Strings Attached". SA is a school in which "Clients' Perspectives" are the approach. Unlike youtube videos, internet programed instructions or impersonal instructors who just take your money and pick up where you left off last week, I personally sit down after each lesson, evaluate your progress, determine where I want you to be after our upcoming lesson and cater that lesson to get you there. I do this each week for each and every client. I listen to you, your concerns, struggles, likes and dislikes and work with you to resolve all issues. I'm not just an instructor, I'm your partner in this journey. After all, without the guitarist, a guitar is just a piece of wood with Strings Attached.
Why you should choose usAs a guitarist for 47 years, I experienced and overcame all the obstacles one faces when trying to learn guitar. As an educator serving in public schools in both Alabama and Georgia for 37 years as a teacher, coach, and school counselor, I understand human behavior. I had to overcome obstacles just like all new learners AND I know how to help you overcome them. The guitarist and teacher in me will teach you the skills and concepts, the counselor in me will patiently encourage you and approach these concepts from your perspective, and the coach in me will push you across the threshold between good and great.

Why the blues?Whatever your desired genre, whether it is country, rock, metal or Jazz, it is ALL encased in BLUES. Strings Attached; Guitar Academy of Blues, can get you wherever you want to go. With that said, I distinctly remember one Sunday evening as an 18 year old, sitting in my church parking lot prior to evening services listening to Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page (yes, I was listening to Led Zeppelin in the church parking lot) "You Shook Me" mesmerized me and suddenly I had an epiphany. It occurred to me that BLUES was the basis of ALL guitar oriented music (except classical). BLUES elicits your emotions to the guitar and your guitar tells the world how you feel. If you can play the blues, you can play anything. Request your FREE Consultation HERE!
